Aqua Illumination Prime 16 Freshwater

The Freshwater 16 is a compact LED fixture built for freshwater planted aquariums, with a low-profile housing measuring 12.4cm x 12.4cm x 3.4cm and weighing 0.43kg. Wi-Fi control is built in, so no separate controller is required — set up and program one unit or several from the companion app on an iOS or Android device, or from any Wi-Fi capable Mac or PC. It is available in black or white.

The LED array is arranged for full spectrum output over planted tanks: 6 x Cree XP-G2 Cool White (70 CRI) at 5000-8300 kelvin, 4 x Cree XP-G2 Warm White (70 CRI) at 2700-3750 kelvin, 2 x Cree XP-E2 Blue, 1 x Cree XP-E Photo Red, 1 x Cree XP-E Green and 1 moonlight, giving a dedicated moonlight channel alongside the main colour mix. Maximum power consumption is 55W and the cable measures 3.048m.

Colour blending is handled by custom 80 degree optics with greater than 90% optical efficiency and a diffuse exit surface, which helps the individual colours mix before they reach the water. Aluminium mounting options, including a tank mount for rimmed or rimless aquariums, are sold separately.

This one suits planted tank keepers who want app-based control and a small fixture that stays out of the way, whether running a single light or a group of them across multiple displays.
