Aqua Illumination Orbit Cross Flow Pump

The Orbit Cross Flow Pump from Aqua Illumination is a magnetically mounted pump that moves water in a broad, circling current around the aquarium. This style of flow is modelled on the tidal movement found across ocean reefs. It lifts detritus and excess nutrients off the bottom of the tank so your filtration can remove them. The pump can also be paired with the brand's Nero pumps, whose directional and random flow patterns complement the cross-flow current for a more varied, reef-like environment.

The Orbit has four built-in modes. Constant Speed gives a steady stream at your chosen intensity, Pulse alternates between even high and low levels, Random imitates a high-energy reef, and Reverse spins the pump backwards. Reverse is particularly handy with two Orbits in the same tank: one drives the cross-flow in a single direction while the second runs in reverse to keep water travelling along the full length of the aquarium. Smart control comes standard through the myAI or Mobius app on iOS or Android devices, and the pump can also be run from Apex Fusion using the MXM module.

We stock two sizes:

- **Orbit 2:** suits glass up to 15mm thick, draws a variable 25W maximum, and is recommended for tanks of roughly 20 to 88+ gallons.

- **Orbit 4:** suits glass up to 20mm thick, draws a variable 45W maximum, and is recommended for tanks of roughly 20 to 120+ gallons. It measures 12.1" W x 1.69" D x 3.15" H with an input of 100–240VAC, 50-60Hz, 2A. It comes with the pump and integrated driver, a mounting magnet, a power adapter with a universal plug adapter set, and a quick start guide.
