This is a replacement 57w quartz sleeve made for the Aqua Ultraviolet Twist 57w UV steriliser. The sleeve is the clear tube that fits around the UV lamp, keeping it dry and separated from the water flowing through the unit.
Quartz is used because it lets ultraviolet light pass through to the water. Over time a sleeve can become scaled, cloudy, scratched or cracked, and any of these reduces how much UV reaches the water. Swapping in a fresh sleeve restores a clear path for the light and a watertight barrier around the lamp, which makes it a sensible part to replace when you service the steriliser or if the old one was damaged during cleaning.
It suits owners of the Aqua Ultraviolet Twist 57w who need to replace a worn or broken sleeve. Please check it matches your steriliser before ordering.
Size: 57w, for the Aqua Ultraviolet Twist 57w UV Steriliser. Code: AUV10057.
