Aquaforest Energy

Energy is a concentrated, highly nutritious feed for all types of corals, with SPS in mind in particular. It is built from natural extracts and supplies unsaturated Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, amino acids and vitamins to support coral health, growth and colour.

The formula includes a natural extract from a specially selected zooplankton, which limits the growth of zooxanthellae and brings out brighter, pastel tones in SPS corals. It is also enriched with copper sulfate, which corals need for proper development and intense colouration; the amount present is almost undetectable and is safe for all marine organisms. Because Energy has an acidic reaction, dosing AF Build on the same day is recommended to stabilise pH.

Dosage is 1 drop per 100 L (27 US gal) of water every other day after lights out. Shake before use. Do not dilute or mix with other products in one container. It can be dosed by a dosing pump provided the pump dispenses in drops, and should be dispensed directly into the aquarium for best nutrient absorption, with the skimmer switched off for about an hour during feeding. Store in the fridge once opened if the temperature exceeds 24°C (75°F).

Every tank is different, so start at half (or even a quarter) of the recommended dose, watch how the corals respond, and build up to the target dose once there is no sign of overdose. SPS and LPS corals are best fed after lights out, while Zoanthus, Ricordea and other mushroom corals should be fed during the day. Due to the natural composition, colour may vary, and the consistency may thicken after opening through evaporation without affecting quality or effectiveness. Do not overtighten the screw cap or the cover may be damaged. Available in 10 ml and 50 ml.
