Aquaforest Ricco Food

Ricco Food is a powdered coral food built around a selected plant mixture, formulated to match the dietary needs of Zoanthus, Ricordea, Rhodactis and other mushroom corals. It also carries a blend of vitamins, which supports healthy growth, better coloration and faster development in these corals.

It suits reefkeepers running soft coral and mushroom-heavy displays, and can also be offered to clams and other filter feeders. Feeding is straightforward: fill a small container with roughly 20 ml of aquarium water, add one level measuring spoon of the powder (dosed at one spoon per 100 l / 27 US gal), and mix for a minute. The suspension can then be poured into the tank for broadcast feeding, or drawn into a syringe or pipette for target feeding individual corals.

Use it at least once a week, more often in mature, well-stocked aquariums. Begin at half or even a quarter of the suggested amount and watch how your corals respond before working up to the full dose. Zoanthus, Ricordea and mushrooms are best fed during daylight hours, while SPS and LPS take up nutrients more readily after lights out. Switching the skimmer off for about an hour during feeding improves uptake.
