Fluval hang on filter C2

The Fluval C2 is a hang-on power filter that clips onto the back of the aquarium, for freshwater or marine tanks of 38 to 115 litres. It gives five stages of filtration: two mechanical, one chemical and two biological, and its design makes the most of the surface area and of how long water stays in each stage.

Water first passes through a thick poly/foam pad that traps large and fine debris and slides out for cleaning. Activated carbon in a removable basket then does the chemical filtration. In the last two stages, a Bio-Screen pad gives beneficial bacteria a large surface to colonise and keeps debris out of a trickle chamber filled with C-Nodes, built for fast, efficient nitrification.

A refiltration control lets you slow the water output for a gentler flow that suits delicate fish and plants, sending water through the filter more than once. Each stage can be serviced separately, so the biological stages keep working while you clean the others.

Specifications: aquariums of 38 to 115 L; flow up to 400 L/h on 240 V power; 5 W; about 15 × 13 × 18 cm. Supplied with a poly/foam pad, activated carbon, C-Nodes and a Bio-Screen.
