Maxspect’s Nano-Tech Bio-Blocks are a durrable dense arangement of small spheres creating an ultra-high surface area media which reduces the volume of biomedia actually required for efficient nutrient cycling in both fresh and saltwater aquariums and ponds. This unique ceramic media has a cross-cutting surface area that creates an ideal surface for a dense populations of beneficial bacteria that remove ammonia and nitrites from aquariums water. Some systems may also notice a decrease in nitrates with prolong use. Suitable for sumps, reactors trickle filters, wet/dry filters, hang on the back filters or directly in the tank.

The Maxspect Nano-Tech Bio-Media is developed using established technology borrowed from the sewage treatment industry with a proven record of nutrient removal of waste water. Instead of using mounds of costly live rock within the aquarium for biological surface we now have the option to regain more space and less weight in our aquariums and sumps.

Nano-Tech Bio-Block offers up to 300% the efficiency in treating water over other bio-medias twice its size.

One box of Maxspect Bio-Blocks contains two separate blocks measuring 4 x 4 x 1 inch.  One Bio-Block is made up of around 3.5 million beads with a total surface area of just over 11000 square feet.  One box with two Bio-Blocks has a total surface area of over 23000 square feet.  That is almost half a football field!!!
