Ocean Nutrition Algae Sheets

Dried marine algae sheets are a natural grazing supplement for herbivorous fish in both marine and freshwater aquariums. Each sheet is made from dried marine macroalgae with added garlic extract. The garlic helps coax fussy eaters to feed and supports immune function. The algae is rich in vitamin C and 100% digestible.

The green variety suits marine tangs, angels, wrasses and some butterflyfish. The red variety is aimed at small angelfish, sponge feeders and other marine fish with softer mouth parts, and it also helps enhance colour. Offer the sheets alongside other foods rather than as a complete diet. They pair well with prepared formula foods.

To feed, tear off a piece about 5cm by 7cm for an average 200L community tank and hold it in place with a seaweed clip. Let the fish graze at their own pace, and reattach any large pieces that break free and float to the surface. Take out anything left uneaten after 24 hours. The guaranteed analysis for green is protein 33.9%, fibre 5.2%, fat 1.4%, ash 10.0% and moisture 6.8%. For red it is protein 33.2%, fibre 4.5%, fat 2.2%, ash 9.0% and moisture 9.6%.
